My Medium Journey: From Newbie to Confident Writer

Chapter 1: Discovering Medium
I stumbled upon Medium over three years ago while searching for ways to improve my time management and academic performance. Every query led me to insightful articles that not only addressed my concerns but also offered valuable guidance.
As I pursued becoming a better writer, I kept finding myself redirected to Medium, a platform that has assisted countless freelance writers facing similar challenges. I was excited to learn that I could not only express my thoughts but also earn money as I honed my craft. The more I explored, the more I became enamored with this platform.
First Day on Medium – Capture the Moment!
I finally took the plunge and signed up on Friday, February 12, 2021. With little knowledge of what awaited me, I knew one thing: I had a passion for writing and the potential to make some side income. My inaugural piece focused on George Harrison’s first trip to America in September 1963, a moment that ignited Beatlemania. Although it attracted only a few views initially, I wasn't discouraged.
I felt an urge to keep writing, so I produced more articles on topics that piqued my interest, covering everything from college experiences to writing tips. While I may not have had a clear direction, I jumped in with both feet, eager to learn.
Flash Forward: Three Years of Growth
Reflecting on my journey, Medium has been a rewarding experience. Yes, I’m just one small fish in a vast ocean of writers, but if Dory has taught me anything, it's to keep swimming.
Over the past three years, I have learned invaluable lessons that have shaped me into a more skilled writer and individual. It’s clear that growth requires time, patience, diligence, and a commitment to improving one’s craft. I’m excited to see where this journey leads me next.
