Judge Ferguson wore a warm smile, and the attorney mirrored his expression. Leaning in, the judge declared, “Now, we all have a task at hand.”

“Mr. Ponton, where are you?” the judge inquired. Suddenly, Ponton appeared, but something was amiss.

To everyone's surprise, there was a Cat in the Chat, its fluffy white face occupying the screen.

“I apologize for my tardiness,” the Cat exclaimed. “I just want to be visible.”

The judge and lawyer exchanged glances, momentarily speechless, taken aback by the peculiar sight.

“You appear different,” Judge Ferguson finally noted. “It seems a filter has altered your appearance.”

“We're attempting to resolve it,” the Cat’s voice quivered, “but this old device has stuck me in this feline form.”

The judge and lawyer struggled to suppress their laughter, aware of the decorum required in court.

“I possess many clever tricks,” the Cat insisted, “but fixing this filter is beyond my expertise.”

Even with the cat filter adorning him, his anxiety was palpable as his eyes darted around, sensing impending chaos.

“It’s my assistant’s computer,” he tried to deflect, yet the Cat in the Chat remained unchanged.

The tension escalated, and the judge's patience began to wear thin, prompting even the opposing lawyer to crack a smile.

“Let’s proceed; I’m here,” the Cat urged, then uttered the most peculiar statement, “I’m not actually a cat.”

However, the spell lingered, and he remained a cat. The judge, ever gracious, acknowledged the situation.

“I understand,” he replied, reassuring the furry lawyer that he recognized the truth.

“Fear not,” the Cat in the Chat said, “I’ll rectify this shortly.” Yet, as far as anyone could tell, the cat continued to engage on Zoom.
