A Woman's Near-Death Encounter Reveals God Within Us

Written on

Penny Wittbrodt faced a serious allergic reaction that left her gasping for breath. After using her EpiPen, she hurried to the hospital, concerned about the treatment she might receive, particularly from a nurse she knew from her past work there.

When the nurse inquired about her condition, Penny couldn't articulate her needs and simply placed her empty EpiPen on the counter. The nurse seemed confused, questioning why Penny had come if she had already treated herself. Panic set in for Penny as she feared for her life, believing the nurse lacked an understanding of her dire situation.

Soon, she was placed in a wheelchair and taken down a corridor leading to the doctor's quarters, where she was informed that there were no available beds. In a secluded area, Penny's condition deteriorated. Struggling to breathe, she felt the impending darkness and summoned her strength for a second EpiPen dose, which provided only a fleeting sense of relief before she began to wheeze again.

A doctor was alerted by her labored, squeaky breathing and swiftly moved her to a room where she received immediate treatment, including Benadryl and steroids. As Penny sat upright, tears streaming down her face from the inability to breathe, she felt as if she were entering a tunnel—not one of light, but a distant, echoing void where sounds became muffled.

Moments later, Penny lost consciousness and found herself observing her own body from above. She watched as medical staff rushed to assist the patient in the bed, unaware that it was her own lifeless form.

Penny's spirit hovered as doctors induced a coma, placing her on a ventilator. Transferred to Lexington Medical Center, her physical body remained in a coma for five days before she could breathe independently again.

During this period, Penny's spirit experienced a remarkable journey. She first found herself in her sister’s car, who was en route to see her in Kentucky amidst a torrential downpour. Penny, clad in wrinkled clothing, was puzzled by her sister's late-night drive, fearing something was wrong with her children.

At a gas station, her sister texted Penny, "Hang on, kiddo, I'm coming," a message that later confirmed Penny’s out-of-body experience when she awoke and saw it on her phone.

After this encounter, Penny transitioned to a dark and oppressive space where she felt immobilized, overwhelmed by a sense of claustrophobia and panic. This cycle of panic and deep sleep repeated, leading her to doubt her existence and contemplate whether her life as Penny was merely a figment of her imagination.

A voice in the dark urged her to lean forward, granting her the ability to move. She spotted a distant light and made her way toward it, only to find a barrier separating her from her body lying in the hospital bed, with her daughter by her side.

From afar, she could sense her daughter’s fear, and when she reached out, her hands met an invisible barrier, igniting feelings of rage and heartbreak. Confused, she cried out to God, questioning why she was subjected to this torment. In response to her frustration, she was drawn back into the dark void.

When she returned to the barrier, it had transformed into a bubble, allowing her to pass through. Hovering over her physical body, she desperately sought to revive it but was met with frustration as her efforts proved futile.

Determined to regain control, she calmed herself and attempted to move just a finger, but her body remained still. Realizing that her emotional state affected her ability to return, she focused on finding peace. A revelation emerged: she had constructed the dark place herself, a manifestation of her emotional isolation following her painful divorce.

Penny recognized that her self-imposed barriers were rooted in fear and hurt. She articulated, "The things you build up here on earth are stored in heaven, and you must confront them, good or bad." This dark space was a physical representation of her self-created prison, which she believed offered safety but ultimately deprived her of life.

As this understanding dawned on her, the darkness began to fracture, allowing light to seep in. A magnificent female spirit appeared, embracing Penny and breaking the chains of her isolation. Overwhelmed with emotion, Penny realized this spirit was her grandmother, who had passed away when Penny was nine.

Her grandmother reassured her, explaining the continuity of life beyond death and the nature of energy. Then, a powerful tremor shook everything, revealing the presence of God. A brilliant light approached, proclaiming, "I AM."

This divine presence initiated a life review, starting with a moment of kindness Penny had shown to a woman struggling to pay for her groceries. Penny had been a single mother herself and empathized with the woman’s plight, offering her the money she needed.

The review continued, illustrating the ripple effects of her actions over time, showing how her simple act of kindness had inspired the woman to help others in need. Penny was then shown her negative perceptions of a colleague, a nurse she deemed incompetent.

Through this review, she learned to recognize the struggles that shaped the nurse's character and was reminded of the power of her thoughts and their consequences on others. "I AM" encouraged her to seek the good in people and offered her healing energy filled with unconditional love.

Penny, grappling with feelings of abandonment during her children’s struggles, questioned where God had been throughout their hardships. "I AM" patiently explained that she had misunderstood the purpose of her experiences, revealing a vision of her son breaking the cycle of broken families by becoming the father he had always deserved.

This profound understanding led Penny to embrace her vulnerability and open her heart. Hand in hand with God, she navigated the spirals of her DNA, where she encountered a profound realization about her connection to the divine.

In this moment, she understood that God was within her, as much a part of her as her biological father. Overwhelmed with love and acceptance, she felt complete and whole, no longer needing to seek anything outside herself.
