Transforming Insanity: Practical Steps for a Sustainable Future

Understanding the Need for Change
You’ve likely found your way here because you recognize the pressing need for a fundamental shift in industrial practices. Many people involved in sustainability roles share the sentiment that current methods often feel absurd. However, acknowledging the problem and knowing how to address it are two distinct challenges.
The most common question I encounter as I assist individuals on their journey towards Industrial Healing is, "What action should I take?" This often comes with additional concerns like, "How can I make a decent income?" or "Should I simply intensify my current efforts?" It's hard to ignore that many employers or clients are heading towards unsustainable practices without any intention of changing course.
Articulating My Vision for Change
What is the change I aim to create? My vision for a life-supporting economy is vast, so I’ve narrowed it down to a few actionable objectives:
- Challenge systemic beliefs and practices that foster denial and damage.
- Provide access to viable, life-supporting alternatives.
- Shift the mindset of industrial decision-makers from "profit-first, endless growth" to "life-first, sustainable growth."
These goals are ambitious, and I’m continually refining my approach to maximize impact.

A Sustainable Path Forward These principles may sound simple, yet they are profoundly complex. By being clear about our goals, holding ourselves accountable, surrounding ourselves with supportive communities, and focusing on positivity, we can navigate the path towards meaningful change.
Will these efforts truly transform the world? The answer remains uncertain, but I believe it’s the most viable option given my current understanding of what is needed. Not pursuing this work feels like pure madness.

As you engage with this content, it’s likely you recognize that additional corporate sustainability targets and ESG strategies alone won’t resolve the underlying issues. Despite significant investments in these initiatives, we continue to witness an increase in waste, inequality, and biodiversity loss.
