At times, I write to inspire myself, recognizing how intertwined motivation and creativity can be. These emotions significantly influence my feelings, as the act of writing—whether for enjoyment, artistic expression, or simply to convey thoughts—appeals to both my heart and soul.
There are instances when emotions surge, yet finding the right words can be challenging. Conversely, on some days, words cascade forth effortlessly, much like water gushing from a tap. During those moments when words elude me, I often reflect on joyful memories and individuals who evoke a smile—perhaps recollections from school or childhood, reminding me of how far I've come while still feeling rooted in those moments.
Picture me, in the corner of a classroom, reliving the joy of that experience. I vividly recall sitting, engrossed in a scene from Shakespeare, a genuine smile lighting up my face. It felt as if I had stepped out of the book, embodying the character in front of my classmates. Yes, I was the one breathing life into those literary figures, and for me, reading and reciting were deeply fulfilling activities.
I never raised my hand to seek attention or boast about my reading skills. Instead, I focused on improving myself, unafraid of a silly laugh or giggle when I mispronounced a word in front of my peers. Those moments of vulnerability fostered my confidence, allowing me to embrace mistakes and learn from them.
Life is a continuous journey; it is not merely a destination. While school sometimes felt like a race—a competition to win—there's a deeper question to consider. Is life truly a sprint to the finish line, or is it more akin to a marathon, where the experience matters as much as the outcome?
I urge you to engage in recovery runs in life. It is challenging to fully inhabit each moment. Yet, living with mindfulness and a sense of calm can be profoundly rewarding.
